Not allowed to set the device owner because there are already some accounts on the deviceRemove the accounts on the car before grantingJaecooApp was removed because Device Owner could not be granted
When the installer installs JaecooApp it also makes it the car’s Device Owner, the Android permission behind silent installs, app hiding and turning off the built-in maps. Android refuses this while any account is signed in on the car. The installer then removes JaecooApp again and shows Remove the accounts on the car before granting.
Remove the accounts
Do the steps that match what the installer lists:
- MicroG / Google account: open MicroG on the car → Google account → remove or sign out.
- Bluetooth: disconnect your phone’s Bluetooth from the car, or turn Bluetooth off on the phone. Contacts synced over Bluetooth count as an account.
- Other accounts: open the car’s Settings → Accounts and remove the remaining ones.
Why Android insists
Android only lets an app become Device Owner on a device with no accounts, a rule made for setting up new devices. On the car this just means signing out for a moment. The installer names the account types it still finds, so you know which ones are left.
Install again
- Press Install JaecooApp on the installer page.
- When it finishes, sign back in to MicroG and reconnect Bluetooth as usual.
Frequently asked questions
What is Device Owner and do I need it?
It lets JaecooApp install and update apps silently, hide apps and disable the built-in maps. Android only allows it when no account is signed in on the car.
Do I lose my Google account in MicroG?
Only for a moment. Once Device Owner is granted, sign back in to MicroG and reconnect Bluetooth as usual.
Which accounts count?
Every account on the car - the Google account in MicroG, the contacts account created by Bluetooth phone sync, and anything under Settings → Accounts. The installer lists the types it finds.
